Tulipwatch: Welcome to April

Tulipwatch continues in earnest; as you'll remember from this last entry in the Artefact diary, the basic idea is this - we're using the random Tulips in the Smithery garden to determine what colours the Spring Artefact Cards will be.

I have to admit that I have no idea what colours they might be, and indeed we don't have the original box for the Tulip bulbs that might have given us some vague sort of a hint.

What I do know is that there are three types of Tulip bulb emerging...

This first type, in the foreground, has an umblemished leaf, it seems... just green all over.

Which is in contrast to this second type, which has a nice white line along the edges of the leaves.

Then finally, there's these ones, which seem to have a dark red tinge to them, and a much darker sort of green.

There is clearly good news, and bad news.

The good news is that there are different tulip bulbs.  So we'll get some variety.  Hurrah.

The bad news is that I've no idea what sort of variety, and continually googling of "identify tulips by leaf" isn't helping.

And given how far out of the ground they are (or aren't), we could be waiting a while to find out.  And then we have to make, pack and ship the cards.  Hmmm.

I wonder how you convince tulips to hurry up...
